Baltimore Ravens cornerback Victor Hampton was released following an arrest made in Charlotte.

Hampton, 22, was arrested in Charlotte for speeding, reckless driving, and possession of an open container over the weekend. Reported that he was driving 100 mph in a speed zone of 55 mph.

The team confirmed Monday that they will be dropping Hampton. Who signed with the Ravens in January.

Hampton never played or practiced with the Ravens while being signed.

Hampton studied at the University of South Carolina and is originally from Darlington, South Carolina.

Ray Lewis III plans to transfer to Coastal Carolina University

Ray Lewis III, son of retired Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis plans to leave the University of Miami to attend Coastal Carolina University.

Ray Lewis III announced his decision to leave Miami on his Instagram. The Instagram post was a picture of Chauncey, the school’s mascot, playing football with the caption, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity, if opportunity doesn’t knock… build a door!#Round2.”

Coastal Carolina’s football team last two seasons has been exceptional  under Coach Joe Moglia’s leadership. The school finished their last season 12-2 and reached the elite eight of the FCS playoffs.
