Just when you think that you have built up walls to not cry over Jasmine Sullivan, Adele, and good ole Mary J. Blige you find another song to tug at your emotions and throw you back in your feelings.
Let me tell you about the song ‘Fall For You‘ by Leela James, and how this song helped me take residence in my feelings.
The beauty of her voice when she sings the lyrics captures you, and puts you into a trance. And when you realize you are in the same situation she is singing about you are pulled in deeper. You realize that you are falling yourself and start smile with uncertainty.
In the song she asks, “Would you catch me if I fall for you?” A simple question, but a damn hard one to ask. From my own experience I hate liking someone, and when I do I am just worried and I need to know how the other person feels also. And that is what she is saying. I am falling for you, and I need to know if you feel the same way. Because no one wants to be in love alone.
I stumbled across this song while listening to Major’s ‘Why I Love You‘ which already had me in my feelings, and then I heard this. That night was just a recipe for snuggling up next to a bottle of Kroger wine and tears slowly streaming down my face.
One part of the song she says “But this thing is new baby. Feels like I’m losing control.” When I heard that part I knew this song was for me to hear. You might know that feeling when you can get so emotional and realize you are not as guarded as you thought. You haven’t felt this way in a long time. You start realize you are in deeper than you than you thought. Falling.
Trust me when I tell you that this is a song that you will want to hear. We all have that In My Feelings playlist, so get ready to add this song to the list next Mary J’s ‘I’m Going Down’. So be cautious when you are listening because these words may hit close to home. And you might find yourself like me snuggled up with some Merlot.

Before you think you are done with those Christmas lists you might want to add movie tickets to see Disney’s Into The Woods.
Disney has released another preview of their upcoming holiday film that will have viewers pressing replay to take it all in a second time.
This trailer shows more of our familiar childhood fairytales, such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk to name a few. And here we thought that ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ had all the fairytales.
We also get a glimpse of the witch, played by Meryl Streep, looking as if she came from a shoot with Vogue.
Johnny Depp also makes his appearance as The Wolf, and we hear Meryl Streep delivering vocals which seems to be indicating that there might be a song number or two.
Be sure to be a Santa’s good list because Into The Woods will be in theaters on Christmas Day.
Typically when a person decides to quit their job to pursue another career path the common thing is to inform human resources and give a two weeks notice.
Giving a two weeks notice was not the case for a local television reporter in Anchorage Alaska. The reporter, Charlo Greene decided to inform the CBS affiliate KTVA she was quitting while she was on air. She then drops the F-bomb and makes her exit off as she is seen walking out of the shot.
Greene was doing a report on efforts to legalize marijuana in Alaska before she reveals that she is over the Alaska Cannabis Club and will be putting all her efforts into getting the drug legalized.
After her report Greene goes to tell viewers, “Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska.”
And her the line that has made this a topic of discussion, “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f–k it, I quit.”
The cameras then cut to a shocked anchor who apologizes and tries to find her words.
The station later posted to their twitter account apologizing and informing their followers of the termination of the reporter.
I wonder will she be using KTVA as previous work experience?

A little more than a month away, Barbara Walters will record her final show on The View.
Walters, whose career in broadcast started over 50 years ago,set May 16 as her last day on the daytime talk show. She will also host a two hour goodbye segment on ABC later that night.
The View first aired in August 1997, which she helped create. The original female co-hosts along with Walters were, Star Jones, Joy Behar, Meredith Vieira, and Debbie Matenopoulos.
The announcement of her retiring from being in front of the camera was made last year, so she can focus the remainder of her career behind the scene. So there are no plans for her joining another show.
Barbara Walters will be leaving behind her current co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sheri Sheperd, and Jenny McCarthy.
Who do you think will be the new co-host?
Well if Pharrell Williams did not have enough reasons to be “Happy” already he just got one.
The ageless musician was just announced by NBC’s The Voice twitter account that he will be joining as one of the coaches for their seventh season. Where Williams retweeted and commented “This is going to be fun”.
This is looking like a good year for Pharrell with his song “Happy” being nominated for an Oscar along with countless amount of radio play.
Will you be tuning in to season seven to see Pharrell and his big hat turn in those red chairs?
